PRIVACY NOTICE · 19 OCTOBER 2026
Your information.
Your choice.
Who is responsible?
Blendastay AB owns and operates The Sweden Edit and is responsible for the personal information described here. Contact info@blendastay.com, or write to Källvindsgatan 1, 602 40 Norrköping, Sweden.
Newsletter registration
If you choose to register, we store your email address, the time of your registration, the wording/version of your consent and its status. We use this information to manage your request for The Sweden Edit newsletter, based on your consent.
We use Brevo to send confirmation emails and manage the newsletter subscriber list. When you register, your email address is passed to Brevo to request confirmation. You are added to the newsletter list only after using the confirmation link. Existing unconfirmed registrations are not automatically imported.
We do not sell your address or use your consent for unrelated marketing. You can withdraw your registration at any time by contacting info@blendastay.com. Every newsletter will include an unsubscribe link. Brevo maintains subscription and suppression status so that unsubscribed contacts are excluded from future newsletters.
Storage and retention
The website and registration database use Cloudflare. Authorised administrators can view registrations; magazine authors cannot. We review local registration evidence after six months against the current Brevo list. Evidence for an active subscription is retained and reviewed again after six months. Evidence for an unconfirmed or ended subscription is removed at that review; you can request earlier erasure. If the status service is unavailable, deletion is deferred until the status can be checked. The active subscriber list is managed separately in Brevo for as long as you subscribe; minimal suppression information may be retained to honour an unsubscribe request. We use short-lived hashes of network identifiers and email addresses to limit automated submissions, based on our legitimate interest in preventing abuse; it is removed within 48 hours and is not stored with your email address.
Cloudflare may process technical connection information, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect the website. Its infrastructure and subprocessors can operate outside the EEA; details of processing locations and safeguards are available in Cloudflare’s privacy policy. The registration database is configured for EU jurisdiction.
Brevo processes newsletter data on our behalf. See Brevo’s privacy policy for its processing practices and international transfer safeguards.
Email measurement
Brevo confirmation emails can contain a measurement pixel and redirected links, and record opening and click events. We are reviewing the provider’s measurement behaviour before sending regular newsletters. We do not ask for consent to individual engagement tracking in the newsletter form, and the integration does not grant that consent. Confirmation and unsubscribe actions are processed to manage your subscription.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy where applicable. You can withdraw consent without affecting processing that took place before withdrawal. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, including abuse prevention. Email info@blendastay.com with your request. You may also contact the Swedish supervisory authority, IMY, with a complaint.
Cookies and external links
The public magazine does not set analytics or advertising cookies. The separate editorial login uses authentication cookies. Links to other websites, including Instagram, lead to services with their own privacy policies.
